Taiwan Invests in Drone Production as China Looms

To deter potential invasion from China, Taiwan is expanding its military drone capabilities. The government has allocated $6.6 billion for drone purchases over six years to acquire hundreds of coastal attack drones, reconnaissance drones, and unmanned surface vessels.

This investment will significantly boost Taiwan's military arsenal, which currently includes a smaller number of US-made and domestic drones. In addition, Taiwanese forces are actively employing these drones in military exercises for maritime targets.

This strategic move underscores the importance of drone technology as a defense tool against potential aggression.
