Advocates Warn FTC That Musk’s X Poses Serious Privacy Risk to Americans

Privacy advocates submitted warnings to the Federal Trade Commission ahead of the July 2 public comment deadline, urging the agency to reject Elon Musk’s bid to end independent audits of X’s data handling. The audits were imposed after a coding error caused Twitter to misuse users’ two-factor authentication data for ad targeting.
