In April, moderators of the r/AskHistorians subreddit saw dozens of old comments and posts automatically removed, triggering a flood of alerts in their Slack channel.
These erroneous removals illustrate that AI tools are not enough to keep online communities safe and meaningful. Human judgment and oversight remain essential.
