AI Data Centers' Water Use: A Drop in the Bucket

A new report from Amazon highlights that AI data centers use a relatively small amount of water globally. While individual data centers can strain local water supplies, the overall aggregate usage is minimal compared to other water-intensive sectors like lawns and agriculture. This includes water withdrawal for US lawns and landscaping, almond orchards in California, and golf courses.
