Mexico's largest university, UNAM, held its entrance exam remotely for the first time this year, using AI-powered webcam proctoring for nearly 160,000 applicants. The results were strikingly abnormal, with 16.3 percent of test takers scoring 100 or higher on the 120-question exam, compared to just 3.5 percent in previous years.
The anomaly prompted officials to require around 58,000 students to retake the test. The incident highlights significant problems with the AI-supervised remote exam process.
