Anthropic Delays Token-Based Billing for Claude Agent SDK

Anthropic has paused a change to its pricing model for the Claude Agent SDK, which would have increased costs for heavy users. The company previously announced plans to charge separate rates for usage outside of the standard Claude interface or CLI, but has now reversed course, allowing users to continue utilizing the existing generous usage limits from their subscriptions. This reversal means that the current system, where agent SDK usage is restricted only by the 'standard' weekly caps applied to a user's subscription tier, remains in effect.
