Anthropic Pauses Token-Based Billing for Claude Agent SDK

Anthropic has paused a planned billing change for its Claude Agent SDK that would have significantly increased costs for heavy users. The change would have treated SDK usage separately from subscriptions and billed at API rates. The pause allows users to continue with existing generous subscription caps, just before the new billing was to take effect on June 15.
