Anthropic's Claude AI models get global release after Trump administration safety testing

The United States has lifted export restrictions on Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 AI models, which were previously flagged as national security risks. Fable 5 is now available worldwide, while US organizations regained access to Mythos 5 on June 26, with plans to expand access through the Glasswing program for cybersecurity researchers. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that Anthropic no longer needs an export license, acknowledging the company's efforts to address safety concerns in coordination with the government.
