Anthropic investors expect the AI startup to go public in October at a valuation of $2 trillion or more, a figure that would surpass SpaceX and mark the largest initial public offering ever. Six of the company’s backers told the Financial Times that surging revenue could push its valuation to more than double its current level.
Such a listing would generate billions in gains for early investors in the five-year-old company. It would also test public markets, which are growing increasingly nervous about the AI boom.
