Apple Sues OpenAI Over Ex-Engineer's Alleged Theft of Trade Secrets via Bug

Apple has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging that a former engineer, Chang Liu, exploited a rare bug to access Apple’s confidential servers for weeks after his termination. The lawsuit claims OpenAI conspired with Liu and another current Apple employee, Yu-Ting Peng, to steal trade secrets and accelerate the development of AI-powered devices to rival the iPhone. Apple is seeking injunctions to block OpenAI from using the stolen information and demands penalties for the alleged breach.
