Baldur's Gate 3's Honour Mode, a high-difficulty setting that limits players to a single save file, introduced a punishing twist for one player. After investing 60 hours into a playthrough, a dialogue choice during a scene with the incubus Harleep led to the character's death, instantly ending the run. The mode is designed to prevent save-scumming, but can also abruptly terminate a game when specific narrative choices prove fatal.
