Bernie Sanders Proposes $7 Trillion Plan for Public Ownership of AI Industry

Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced legislation to transfer significant wealth from major AI companies to the American public, including a one-time 50 percent tax on the stock of the largest AI firms. The plan would create a sovereign wealth fund projected to reach $7 trillion, funded by companies with over $200 million in annual AI sales. Sanders estimates the fund would generate hundreds of billions annually for direct payments, healthcare, education, and housing, with each American receiving more than $1,000 in yearly dividends.
