ByteDance Developing Giant AI Model in Challenge to Anthropic

ByteDance is in the early stages of training a massive AI model with up to 10 trillion parameters, potentially rivaling Anthropic’s most advanced Mythos system. The model would be roughly three times larger than Moonshot’s Kimi K3, the largest Chinese AI model released so far.

It is currently undergoing pre-training, a phase that usually lasts three to six months, before fine-tuning and possible release. The final model size will be determined at a later stage.
