Tests with both living authors like J.K. Rowling and Amy Tan and deceased authors like Charles Dickens and Ernest Hemingway showed similar refusals. However, a recent analysis by No Latency found that ChatGPT still complied with style-copying requests for deceased authors, indicating inconsistent enforcement.
