Google says AI-powered security tools have dramatically increased the number of vulnerabilities found in Chrome, with recent milestones totaling over 1,000 fixes. To keep pace, the company is piloting updates as often as twice a week, building on its earlier shift to a two-week cycle.
It also aims to make these updates less disruptive, potentially eliminating the need for a browser restart. One recently patched bug had gone undetected for 13 years and could have allowed attackers to escape the Chrome sandbox.
