Darkest Dungeon receives new DLC over a decade after release, echoing The Witcher 3's late expansions

Red Hook Studios has announced The Fire's Edge, a new DLC for the original Darkest Dungeon, marking the first major content update for the horror roguelike in six years. The expansion is set to launch on August 18, more than 10 years after the game's initial release, and will not involve the 2023 sequel Darkest Dungeon 2. This follows a growing trend of games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt receiving significant expansions years after their original debut.
