Disney Lays Off Hundreds of Employees; Pixar Severely Affected

Disney laid off hundreds of employees across its divisions on Tuesday, including National Geographic and ESPN. Animation studio Pixar was hit particularly hard, with reports estimating it let go of between 100 and 150 staff members, representing roughly 9 to 14 percent of its 1,100-person workforce.
