EU Orders Google to Share Search Data and Open Android to Rival AI Platforms

The European Commission has issued new measures under the Digital Markets Act requiring Google to share search data and open its Android operating system to competing AI platforms. Currently, Google's Gemini assistant enjoys exclusive system-level access on Android devices, but the EU order will force interoperability.
