Federal Judge Rules Trump Administration's Blacklisting of Anthropic Was Illegal

A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration's blacklisting of AI company Anthropic was illegal, vacating government directives against the firm. Judge Rita Lin found that the administration unlawfully retaliated against Anthropic for refusing to drop restrictions on using its technology for autonomous weapons and mass surveillance of Americans. The ruling, which granted key parts of Anthropic's summary judgment motion, said the actions violated the First Amendment.
