Final Fantasy 14 may finally let players skip its lengthy story to access new content

After 13 years and with a sixth expansion arriving in January, Final Fantasy 14 requires hundreds of hours of main story content. Square Enix has long insisted that players must complete the entire story to reach the latest content. However, that requirement may finally be changing, allowing new players to skip earlier expansions.
