Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Gemini has reached 1 billion monthly active users, making it the fastest Google product to hit that milestone. While 13 other Google products have reached 1 billion users, none did so as quickly.
Gemini is now deeply integrated across services like Gmail, Drive, and Search, but the 1 billion figure only counts people who actively open the Gemini app or website to enter prompts or use Gemini Live. Using Gemini through other Google products does not count toward this metric.
