Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Gemini has reached 1 billion monthly active users, making it the fastest Google product to hit that milestone. While Gemini is now integrated across Gmail, Drive, and Search, the metric counts only users who actively open the Gemini app or website to enter a prompt or use Gemini Live.

A single use within the past month qualifies, regardless of broader product usage. Gemini is the 14th Google product to reach 1 billion users.
