Google has finally opened preorders for its $100 Home Speaker, nearly ten months after it was announced last August. The device launches on June 25 and is Google's first new smart home speaker in almost six years, following the Nest Audio from 2020. It features a small, round design covered in partially recycled fabric available in four colors, 360-degree sound, a glowing light ring around the base, and three far-field microphones with a mute switch.

Autonomous Firefighting Drones Tested as Wildfire Season Extends Year-Round in US

Firefighting drones capable of spraying water and fire retardant are being tested in California and Alaska as climate change makes wildfire season a near-year-round threat across much of the United States.
