Google Home Speaker preorders open at $100, shipping June 25 after ten-month wait

Google has officially opened preorders for its new $100 Google Home Speaker, which will launch on June 25. The device is the company's first new smart home speaker in nearly six years, following the Nest Audio from September 2020. It is a small, round speaker covered in partially recycled fabric available in hazel, porcelain, jade, and berry, and it features 360-degree sound, a glowing light ring around the base, three far-field microphones, and a mute switch.
