Google has introduced Gemini Robotics 2, an upgraded AI system that lets robots handle more complex tasks, adapt to changing surroundings, and work alongside other robots. It includes three new sub-models, one of which is now available to developers through the Gemini Live API.
DeepMind says the system offers significant advances in whole-body control and dexterity, especially for humanoid robots with complex hands. The release moves closer to the company's goal of a generalist robot capable of performing a wide range of human tasks.
