YouTube requires creators to disclose when AI is used to meaningfully alter or generate photorealistic content, but its policy draws confusing boundaries. Exemptions include AI-assisted production tools like outlines, scripts, thumbnails, and titles, as well as voice cloning of the creator’s own voice.
