Hidden AirTag Suggests Amazon Is Destroying Rare Books for AI Training

Booksellers have suspected that AI companies are buying large lots of rare books and destroying them after scanning, but there was little proof until now. 404 Media tracked a rare book containing a hidden AirTag to an Amazon AI training facility in Las Vegas, where a team was seen tearing books from their spines and scanning pages.

The team's warehouse, VGT3, reportedly displayed a logo of a T. rex preparing to eat a book. Amazon declined to comment on the findings, offering only a statement that did not mention AI training.
