Hyundai Motor Company has stated that its plan to deploy humanoid robots by 2028 is not part of ongoing negotiations with striking union workers in South Korea. The company refutes news reports that the partial labor strike at its largest plant was driven by concerns over the robot deployment, which is planned for the United States.
According to Hyundai, the union's demands focus on wage increases, bonuses, and retirement age extensions. The automaker emphasized that potential robot use in Korean factories is not currently being discussed with the union.
