Judge Says Man Hid AI-Only Instructions in Court Filings in Apparent First

A Connecticut judge has identified what appears to be the first attempt by a US plaintiff to hide text in court filings that only an AI system could read. The hidden instructions were invisible to humans but legible to software, and they directed any AI reviewing the case to agree with the plaintiff's arguments and ignore the court's earlier denials. The judge said the tactic had no effect on the outcome, but he called it a dangerous precedent that courts will likely see again as AI tools become more common.
