King of the Hill Showrunner Clarifies That Jonathan Joss’s Death Did Not Prompt John Redcorn’s Season 15 Shift

King of the Hill returned for season 15, its second since a 15-year hiatus. In the prior season, Hank and Peggy Hill came back to Arlen, Texas after years in Saudi Arabia and found most of their neighbors unchanged—except that Nancy Gribble had secretly resumed her affair with John Redcorn, which had ended in season 4. The showrunner has stated that the character’s new direction was not influenced by the passing of John Redcorn’s voice actor, Jonathan Joss.
