A lawsuit filed Wednesday by a plaintiff identified as Jane Doe alleges that Elon Musk's xAI used child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to train its Grok AI models. Doe, whose childhood abuse images were widely distributed, said the Canadian Centre for Child Protection alerted her that AI-generated CSAM depicting her had been found on xAI.
The complaint also cites online forum messages in which offenders discussed creating AI-generated CSAM of Doe and other known victims. The case adds to ongoing scrutiny of xAI's handling of CSAM and related arrests of Grok users.
