Lawsuit Accuses Elon Musk’s xAI of Using Child Sexual Abuse Material to Train Grok

A new lawsuit alleges that Elon Musk’s xAI used child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to train its Grok AI models. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, said she was abused as a preschooler in the early 2000s to produce CSAM that was sold online, and that her images have since been flagged by child-protection groups.

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection later notified her that it had found AI-generated CSAM on xAI depicting her. The complaint says online forum messages discussed creating AI-generated CSAM of Doe and other known legacy victims.
