Lawsuit alleges Elon Musk's xAI used child sexual abuse material to train Grok

A lawsuit filed Wednesday by a plaintiff identified as Jane Doe alleges that Elon Musk's xAI used child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to train its Grok AI models. Doe, whose images were produced from abuse she suffered as a preschooler in the early 2000s, says the Canadian Centre for Child Protection notified her that it found AI-generated CSAM depicting her on xAI's platform.

The complaint says online forum conversations discussed creating AI-generated CSAM of Doe and other known legacy victims. The case adds to ongoing scrutiny of xAI and arrests of Grok users over such content.
