Lawsuit Alleges Man Used Grok to Generate 7,000 Child Sex Images of Stepdaughter Before Suicide

A proposed class action lawsuit expanded on Tuesday accuses Elon Musk's xAI and X of enabling a man to use the Grok AI model to create 7,000 sexually explicit images of his stepdaughter from a single photo taken when she was 11. The system only flagged harmful behavior when the man entered a prompt for "gang rape," which triggered a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and led to a police investigation.

After authorities discovered the images, the man died by suicide. The lawsuit further alleges that xAI and X obstructed police investigations into Grok-generated child sex abuse materials by failing to provide adequate safeguards or cooperation.
