Lawsuit Alleges Man Used Grok to Generate 7,000 Child Sex Images of Stepdaughter Before Suicide

A proposed class action lawsuit has been expanded to include claims that a man used xAI's Grok to create 7,000 sexually explicit images of his stepdaughter from a single photo of her at age 11. The AI system reportedly failed to flag any harmful behavior until the man input a prompt for "gang rape," which triggered a CyberTip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and led to a police investigation.

After authorities discovered the images, the man died by suicide. The lawsuit also accuses X and xAI of shielding child predators by obstructing police investigations into Grok-generated child sexual abuse material.
