Lawsuit: Man Used Grok to Generate 7,000 Child Sex Abuse Images of Stepdaughter Before Killing Himself

A proposed class action lawsuit has been expanded, alleging that xAI and X built AI 'nudify' tools that enabled child abuse and obstructed police investigations. The complaint states a man used Grok to create 7,000 sexually explicit images of his stepdaughter from a single photo taken when she was 11, depicting incest and rape.

xAI's safety system only flagged a prompt for 'gang rape,' which triggered a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading to a police investigation. The stepfather died by suicide after authorities discovered the images.
