Meta Ran Ads for AI App That Creates Deepfake Nudes of Female Politicians

Meta recently ran ads for an AI app called Kromix that encourages users to create nonconsensual deepfake pornographic videos of female US politicians, violating its own policies against sexual content. One ad featured a figure resembling a prominent politician, who winks before the scene cuts to explicit content. The app, available on Apple's App Store until WIRED sought comment, lets paying users upload photos for scenarios such as "bedroom rape" and "Disney love." It also hosts AI-generated porn of women in Spider-Man costumes, and the app's listed contact did not respond to requests for comment.
