Hello Games released Forsaken, update 7.10 for No Man’s Sky, on October 28, 2026. The game also made its iPhone and iPad debut that day. Existing players have a reason to return to space exploration, while mobile newcomers can try the opening before deciding whether to pay.
What Forsaken changes
The update centres on unsettling discoveries and biomechanical ships. Strange samples recovered from abandoned locations can be exchanged with new traders for corvette modules. Rewards also include the Larva Cannon and Larva Tank helmet. That gives scavenging a practical destination: collect the materials needed for a ship design of your own.
Alongside the themed equipment come courier jobs, a minimal HUD and a radial weapon selector. Travellers can now target a visible nearby star and warp to its system without opening the Galaxy Map. The practical attraction is the rhythm of exploration: fewer menu transitions separate spotting a destination from deciding to visit it.
What to check before downloading on mobile
Hello Games names iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air or newer devices. The App Store instead lists iOS/iPadOS 26 and an A12 Bionic chip or later. Those descriptions are not identical, so check the store’s compatibility information directly on the device you intend to use.
The current listing shows a 3.8 GB download. Checked on October 29, full-game unlock costs $19.99 in the US App Store; the Ukrainian storefront lists US$22.99. The opening is free to try, rather than the entire game being free. A one-time purchase unlocks the full game.
Important iPhone and iPad limitations
Mobile does not support multiplayer. According to the developer, planetary settlements are supported on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. Touch controls have been rebuilt for mobile screens; controllers are supported, with mouse and keyboard support on iPad as well. The description “full game” therefore needs to be read alongside those platform-specific differences.
Where to start
On a phone, use the free opening to assess the controls, inventory readability and comfort during a longer session before purchasing the unlock. We have not conducted our own performance testing and are not promising identical frame rates across compatible hardware.
If you are returning on console or PC for Forsaken, start by deciding which ship components you want, then plan your scavenging around that goal. Evaluate the minimal HUD after familiarising yourself with the normal indicators. This is an editorial suggestion, not a required progression route.
