Notion Shuts Down Its AI-Powered Email Client, Citing Shift to AI Agents

Notion is shutting down Notion Mail, its AI-powered email client, on September 22. The company acquired encrypted email startup Skiff in 2024, initially shut down Skiff's email service, and built Notion Mail with the acquired team. In an announcement, Notion stated that most users no longer use traditional email clients, instead relying on AI agents to manage their correspondence.
