Notion has announced it is shutting down Notion Mail, the email client it launched in April 2025 after acquiring encrypted email startup Skiff in 2024. The company says most users no longer use traditional email clients, instead relying on AI agents to handle their correspondence.
The service will be discontinued across web, desktop, and iOS on September 22. The move effectively ends what remained of Skiff's email technology within Notion.
