OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Work, a tool designed to handle complex, long-running projects by automating entire workflows while requiring user approval for key actions. It addresses previous limitations of the Agent Mode in the Atlas browser, which stopped after a few minutes, by staying with a task for hours if needed.
The tool also includes Scheduled Tasks, which can perform repetitive work on a schedule or in response to events, and can be monitored from a phone. ChatGPT Work promises to turn goals into finished work, such as analyzing budgets or preparing marketing assets, while keeping the user in control.
