OpenAI Launches Its First Branded Hardware: A $230 RGB Mini-Keyboard for Codex Agents

OpenAI has unveiled its first branded hardware device, the Codex Micro, a $230 RGB-lit mini-keyboard developed in collaboration with Work Louder. The keyboard features six frosted keys that provide color-coded status updates for up to six Codex threads, showing idle, thinking, completed, feedback-needed, or error states at a glance.

Users can tap a lit key to bring the corresponding Codex window to the foreground. The device is a limited-run product, differentiated from Work Louder's existing Creator Micro line by its integrated live feedback for OpenAI's agents.
