OpenAI launches its first branded hardware: a $230 RGB mini-keyboard for monitoring Codex agents

OpenAI has introduced its first branded device, the Codex Micro, a $230 mini-keyboard created in collaboration with Work Louder. The keyboard features six frosted keys that provide real-time, color-coded status updates on up to six Codex threads, even when they are not in focus on-screen.

Colors indicate whether a thread is idle (white), thinking (blue), complete (green), needs human feedback (amber), or has encountered an error (red). Tapping a lit key instantly brings up the relevant Codex window for quick interaction.
