OpenAI’s $300+ smart speaker may use moving parts to feel ‘more alive’

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that OpenAI’s upcoming smart speaker is expected to cost over $300, with the company having discussed a price as high as $400. The device, which has not been officially announced, is said to include moving parts designed to make it seem more lifelike.

OpenAI reportedly views the speaker as a potential smartphone replacement. The company has declined to comment on its product roadmap.
