OpenAI’s pricey smart speaker may use moving parts to feel more lifelike

OpenAI’s upcoming smart speaker is expected to cost over $300, with the company reportedly discussing a price as high as $400, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The device, which Bloomberg has covered since July, is being positioned as a potential smartphone replacement. It is said to include moving parts intended to make it seem “more alive.” OpenAI has declined to comment on its product roadmap.
