OpenAI has launched its first branded hardware device, the $230 Codex Micro, a specialized mini-keyboard with RGB-lit keys designed to monitor and interact with multiple Codex agents. The keyboard is a limited collaboration with Work Louder and features six frosted keys that change color based on thread status: white for idle, blue for thinking, green for task complete, amber for needing human input, and red for errors. A quick tap on a lit key brings up the corresponding Codex window on-screen, allowing users to quickly manage their AI tasks.
