Oracle laid off 21,000 workers over the past year, reducing its workforce by 12.9%, according to an SEC filing. The database management company reported 141,000 full-time employees as of May 31, down from 162,000 in the prior year. The filing attributed the cuts to the adoption and deployment of AI technologies across its operations.
