Stanford Study Finds AI Is Disproportionately Cutting Entry-Level Jobs for Young Workers

Newly updated research from Stanford University economists finds that artificial intelligence is driving significant job losses among entry-level workers in AI-exposed fields. For workers aged 22 to 25, employment in the most AI-exposed occupations is now 19 percent below that of peers in less exposed fields, up from a 13 percent gap last year.

Older workers, by contrast, appear largely unaffected so far. The findings suggest the employment impact of AI is persisting and expanding for younger, early-career workers.
