Suno Adds Watermarks to AI Music in Push for Industry Legitimacy

Suno plans to watermark all audio generated by its AI models, a move CEO Mikey Shulman says aligns with emerging industry standards for labeling AI content. The company will let streaming platforms use these markers to flag or block AI-generated tracks, though it has not specified whether it will build its own system or adopt Google's SynthID. Google, which recently began licensing SynthID, says the technology has already labeled tens of thousands of years of AI-generated audio and over 100 billion images and videos.
