Suno Announces Watermarks for AI-Generated Music to Meet Industry Standards

Suno, a major source of AI-generated music, says it will add watermarks to all audio produced by its models. CEO Mikey Shulman said the move aligns with emerging industry standards for labeling AI content.

The watermarks will give streaming platforms the option to flag or block AI-generated tracks. The announcement follows Google’s recent licensing of its SynthID watermarking technology, which has already labeled vast amounts of AI-generated audio, images, and video.
